How to create and manage QR batches

A QR Batch is a collection of QR codes generated at once for a product. Each QR code in the batch is unique and linked to a specific product. When printed on products, customers can scan the QR code to verify authenticity. You need to create at least one brand and one product before creating a QR batch.

Prerequisites

Before creating a QR batch, you need to complete the following steps:

Create a new QR batch

Open the QR Batches page

Log in to the CMS, select "QR Batches" from the left sidebar menu. Click the "Generate QR" button in the top-right corner.

Enter a batch name (optional)

Enter a name for the QR batch in the "Batch Name" field. The batch name helps you easily identify and manage your QR batches. If left empty, the system will auto-generate a name.

Select a brand

Select a brand from the dropdown. Only brands created previously will appear. If you don't have a brand yet, see the Prerequisites section above.

Select a product

After selecting a brand, the list of products belonging to that brand will appear. Select the product you want to generate QR codes for. If you don't have a product yet, see the Prerequisites section above.

Enter the QR code quantity

Enter the number of QR codes you want to generate. Each QR code corresponds to one physical product. You can generate up to 100,000 QR codes per batch. Use the quick increment buttons (+100, +500, +1,000) to adjust the quantity.

Select the QR code type

Choose one of two QR code types: "Verify Only" - QR code used only for product verification, or "Form Activation" - QR code that requires customers to fill out a form before verification.

Set the scan limit

Enter the maximum number of times each QR code can be scanned. The default scan limit is 1 and the maximum is 100. For the "Form Activation" type, the scan limit is automatically set to 1.

Add notes (optional)

Enter notes for the QR batch in the "Notes" field. Notes help you remember information about the batch, e.g., "May 2025 batch for HCM store".

Review cost and confirm

Before generating, the system shows an estimated cost based on quantity and pricing tiers. The cost is deducted from your credits and wallet balance. Review all information and click "Generate" to complete.

Export QR codes

After successfully creating a QR batch, you need to export the QR codes for printing on products. The system supports exporting as PDF, PNG, or SVG files.

Open the export modal

On the QR Batches page, find the batch you want to export. Click the "Export" button in the actions column, or click "Export QR" in the top-right corner and select the batch.

Choose the file format

Choose the export format: PDF (suitable for bulk printing), PNG (individual images), or SVG (vector, highest quality).

Download the file

Click "Export" to generate the file. The file will automatically download to your computer.

Manage QR batches

After creation, you can search, filter, lock, or re-export QR batches from the list page.

Search and filter

Use the search bar to find batches by name. Use filters to display by brand, product, status (active/locked), QR code type, or creation date.

Lock a QR batch

Lock a QR batch to prevent further use. QR codes in a locked batch can still be scanned, but the batch cannot be modified. This action can be undone by unlocking.

Duplicate a QR batch

Click the "Duplicate" icon to create a new batch with the same settings (brand, product, quantity, scan limit). You can adjust the quantity before generating.

View batch details

Click the batch name to view details, including scan statistics, QR code list, and summary information.

Important notes

Each product has a maximum limit on QR batches. If you reach the limit, the system will notify you and you cannot create more batches for that product. QR code generation costs are deducted from your credits and wallet balance.
